What proportion of the income of pen-sioners receiving (a) below £50.00 a week (b) £50.00–£75.00 a week (c) £75.00–£100.00 a week (d) £100.00–£125.00 a week and (e) over £125.00 do they estimate to be spent on food.

According to the Family Expenditure Survey for 1982, the percentages of total expenditure spent on food by single person pensioner households (i.e., those in which at least three-quarters of income was derived from national insurance retirement and similar pensions) were:
