Mr. Nicholas Winterton

asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry (1) if he will give the total value of textile exports from the United Kingdom in each year since 1974; and what was the balance of trade deficit or surplus in each of these years;

(2) what was the total value of textile imports into the United Kingdom in each of the years since 1974.
