HL Deb 25 April 1984 vol 451 c135WA
Lord Grimond

asked Her Majesty's Government:

What steps are being taken to involve Scottish financial interests such as merchant banks and stockbrokers in the forthcoming privatisation measures.

Lord Cockfield

The appointment of advisers to individual privatisations is done on merit. Scottish interests have been consulted and used in the past and future proposals from them will be welcomed.
