asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they propose to reduce the numbers of personnel engaged in narcotics control and, if so, whether they will determine from available statistics whether such reductions will have any identifiable effect on the incidence of drug addiction or drug offences.

The Government have no plans to make any such reductions.
