HC Deb 25 April 1984 vol 58 c543W
Mr. Alfred Morris

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he has now received detailed representations from Motability about the effects on disabled people, as potential clients of Motability, of the measures he announced in the Budget; what consideration has been given to means of maintaining Motability's operations in the' face of the financial difficulties presented by the Budget; and whether he will make a statement.

Mr. Lawson

I expect to receive detailed representations about the effects on Motability of my Budget proposals to phase out first-year capital allowances fairly soon. In the meantime, I am in touch with Motability about the number of suggestions which it has put to me.
