§ Mr. John Fraserasked the Secretary of State for the Environment (1) if he will list by local authority area the numbers of privately owned dwellings which are likely to benefit from the proposals in the Housing Defects Bill;
(2) if he will list for each local authority area the numbers of publicly owned dwellings of the type of construction covered by the provisions of the Housing Defects Bill.
§ Mr. GowThe Housing Defects Bill provides a framework within which assistance will be given to eligible owners of defective dwellings which have been sold by the public sector and which satisfy the criteria in clause 1 of the Bill. Local authorities have provided figures of prefabricated reinforced concrete houses by type of ownership, in the table which I placed in the Library on 10 November 1983.
