asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will list the skillcentres closed in (a) Glasgow and (b) Scotland since 1979 and the resultant drop in training completions in each year.

Since 1979 the only skillcentre to have been closed in Scotland is Port Glasgow which was closed in August 1981. The numbers of training completions in skillcentres between 1979 and 1983 are:
