§ Mr. Winnickasked the Prime Minister whether there has been any progress by the United States of America and the United Kingdom authorities in trying to secure the expulsion of the Nazi war criminal, Rauff, from Chile in order to face trial in the Federal Republic of Germany.
§ The Prime MinisterAs the hon. Member knows, the Chilean authorities have rejected our request for Walter Rauff to be expelled from Chile so that he could be brought to trial in the Federal Republic of Germany. I regret that there is no progress to report in this matter.
We and our EC partners are, however, considering what further steps might be appropriate.
