HC Deb 12 April 1984 vol 58 c370W
Dr. Roger Thomas

asked the Secretary of State for Wales what support he is prepared to give to the Dyfed education authority in its plans to extend the availability of extra subjects being taught through the medium of the Welsh language in secondary schools designated as English comprehensive schools, and in schools where no bilingual (Welsh) courses were hitherto available.

Mr. Wyn Roberts

It is for the local education authority to decide financial priorities within the total funds available to it and in the light of the needs of pupils in its area.
