§ Mr. WaddingtonThe passport offices give priority to any applicant who is a British national and who requires a passport urgently. at the London passport office alone, some 2,000 applications are currently being expedited each week. Statistics are not available of applicants for British passports who possess dual nationality as it is not always apparent from an application for a British passport that the applicant has a claim to another citizenship, for example, by descent.
