§ Mr. JoplingMy Ministry supports research and development to maintain and improve the competitive position, efficiency and productivity of the agriculture and food industries, including the milk and cereals sectors. The improvement of productivity, involving improvements in the relations of inputs to outputs, continues to be an objective of research and development in both those sectors.
