HC Deb 12 April 1984 vol 58 c367W
Mr. Alfred Morris

asked the Secretary of State for Employment if disabled young people deemed likely to qualify for sheltered employment are eligible for training on the youth training scheme; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Peter Morrison

[pursuant to his reply, 10 April 1984, c. 94]: The youth training scheme is open to disabled young people who, although when they leave the scheme might be expected to take up a short period of sheltered employment, are considered to have the potential to progress eventually to opportunities in the labour market as a whole.
