What is the justification for keeping Mr. Shane O'Doherty in solitary confinement in Gartree Prison in view of the fact that he is not being punished for any prison offence and is now prepared to do prison work in the ordinary way.
§ The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Home Office (Lord Elton)Mr. O'Doherty is in Wakefield Prison where he is segregated from other prisoners in the interests of good order and discipline. He has been offered work in his cell in the segregation unit, but he has declined this.
