§ Mr. Steenasked the Secretary of State for the Environment (1) if he will take further steps to accelerate the removal of Crown land from the registers of derelict and under-utilised land;
(2) if he will estimate by when he expects to have disposed of all vacant, dormant, derelict and under-utilised sites owned by the Crown and currently on land registers; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. MacfarlaneIt is Goverment policy to dispose of any land they no longer require as quickly as possible. The rate of disposal depends on the market and it is not possible to set a date for completing sales. The registration and disposal of Crown sites are a continuous process as land falls out of its current use.
