§ Mr. Nicholsonasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will give an estimate of the total value to Northern Ireland dairy industry of the lost production which comes as a result of the milk production quotas agreed at the Council of Agricultural Ministers in Brussels.
§ Mr. ButlerThe extent of the loss to the Northern Ireland milk industry will depend on the method used for determining the allocation of the United Kingdom quota among the regions. No decision has yet been reached on this matter and it is not possible therefore to give an estimate of the value of lost production.
