asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will call for reports from each chief constable concerned to provide details of the number of police injured since 31 March dealing with the current miners' dispute.

The following numbers of police officers have been injured in the period between 31 March and 8 April inclusive, in dealing with events arising from the miners' dispute.
