asked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many abortions have been performed on women in each of the years since 1974 in England and Wales on the grounds that the pregnant woman had been exposed to rubella; and in how many of these cases the exposure was due to vaccination.

the Department represents some extra burden for health authorities. The health services information steering group has recommended the use of the "E" codes of the ninth revision of the international classification of diseases which record the direct physical cause of an accident and where it occurred. Decisions on this and the steering group's many other recommendations will be taken as soon as possible.
