§ Mr. Wigleyasked the Secretary of State for Wales if he will seek to ensure that the Manpower Services Commission in Wales pays regard to the linguistic policy of the local education authority in each county in Wales in undertaking the commission's own work in areas which impinge on the education and training of young people.
§ Mr. John Stradling ThomasThe Manpower Services Commission is fully aware of my policy of support for the Welsh language and makes every effort to meet the needs of bilingualism in all their activities in Wales. I understand that the hon. Member has recently been in touch with the commission on this issue and that the director for Wales has sent him a comprehensive reply.
