HC Deb 09 April 1984 vol 58 c127W
Mr. Andrew F. Bennett

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what rules or guidelines determine the reporting of a decision by the social security commissioners; and who is consulted before that decision is taken.

Dr. Boyson

The chief social security commissioner decides on the reporting of a decision after consultation with all the other commissioners, the legal assistants and the head of the independent statutory authority concerned with the particular benefit. Any representations actually received at the relevant time from outside sources are also considered.
