HC Deb 09 April 1984 vol 58 cc127-8W
Mr. Alfred Morris

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what information his Department collects on cases in which one or more items on a prescription are not supplied by the pharmacist, at the request of the patient, due to his or her inability to pay the charge for all the items on the prescription.

Mr. Kenneth Clarke

No such information is collected. The arrangements for prescription charge exemption ensure no one need be deprived of necessary medication on financial grounds.
