Mr. Hill

asked the Secretary of State for Transport what are the names and professions of members serving on the Lights Finance Committee and Lights Advisory Committee; and how many members have shipping interests.

The Lighthouse Finance Committee consists of officials of the marine directorate of my Department, together with such representatives of Trinity House, the Northern Lighthouse Board, the Commissioners of Irish Lights, the Lights Advisory Committee, the Lighthouse Research Policy Committee, Messrs. Quilter Goodison and Company, and the Irish Department of Communications, as those bodies wish to be present. The membership varies, but at the most recent meeting on 2 February last, those present were:
