§ Mr. HayhoeI refer the hon. Member to the reply given on Thursday 5 April at column 1106 to a similar question by my hon. Friend the Member for Macclesfield. I have no statement to make at present but no doubt the proposed extension of the VAT base to cover building alterations will be fully debated during the Committee stage of the Finance Bill.
