To list in the Official Report the names of local authorities in England which are not now giving discretionary grants for home improvement schemes.
Lord SkemersdaleThe information requested is not readily available as local authorities are not required to inform the Government about their decisions on home improvement grants. The Government hope that authorities, having now reviewed their strategies for 1984–85 in the light of the capital allocations made in November, will give a high priority to the issue of home improvement grants.
