§ Mr. StanleyMuch of the running costs of the forces based on the Falklands are incurred whether or not they are stationed in the Falklands. The additional running costs attributable to stationing them on the Falklands, excluding capital works and equipment, will represent some 1 per cent. of the Defence budget in 1984–85.
