§ 21. Sir Geoffrey Finsbergasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what representations he has received proposing the exemption from income tax of the first £70 of interest which arises from deposits in banks in the same way as he treats such interest in the ordinary accounts of the National Savings Bank.
