§ Mr. Mark Robinsonasked the Secretary of State for Wales if he will update the figures he gave in his answer on 21 November 1983, Official Report, column 5, concerning the number of advance factories (a) built and (b) allocated in Wales by all agencies since May 1979.
§ Mr. Nicholas EdwardsIn the period from 1 May 1979 to 31 March 1984, 1,344 advance factories have been completed by the Welsh Development Agency, the Development Board for Rural Wales and Cwmbran development corporation providing 7.1 million sq ft of new industrial space. The total amount of space available is now just over 3 million sq ft which is about 13 per cent. of the total stock held by the three bodies concerned. 1,308 factories — 7.9 million sq ft of space — have been allocated in the same period.
