§ Mr. WaldegraveThe average precept levied by the Greater London council is estimated to have increased by 118 per cent. between 1981–82 and 1983–84, and by 30 per cent. between 1979–80 and 1981–82. Prices in general rose by 12½ per cent. and 30 per cent., in the two periods respectively.
