§ Mr. Tom Coxasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what is the purpose and remit of the advisory committee to the Medical Research Council called the environmental directors group.
§ Mr. BrookeI understand that the objectives of the Environmental Directors Group are to identify areas in environmental and occupational medicine where further research is required, and to bring together the Medical Research Council's senior scientists in this field and people from the universities, the Health and Safety Executive, the health departments and other interested bodies who are expert in this field to discuss ways in which such research could be carried out.
