HC Deb 04 April 1984 vol 57 c553W
27. Mr. Dalyell

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what proposals he intends to make for methods of rural conservation, following his Department's meeting with the Broads Authority on Halvergate marshes on Wednesday 15 March.

Mr. Waldegrave

My noble Friend the Minister of State, Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and I have agreed to examine possible ways and means of encouraging the continuation of existing farming methods in the Halvergate area but it is too soon to speculate on their wide applicability.
