§ Mr. Heddleasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science when his Department intends to ask local education authorities to consider ways of using their education welfare services more efficiently in enforcing regular school attendance; whether his Department will lay down guidelines; and what steps will be taken for local education authorities to report the results to his Department on a regular basis.
