asked the Secretay of State for Northern Ireland what was the expenditure of the Ulster museum on (a) purchases and (b) general expenses, respectively, during the financial year 1983–84.

Mr. Scott

The estimated expenditure, subject to audit, was:

  1. (a) £105,000
  2. (b) £1,958,000

Mr. Faulds

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what was the balance standing at the end of the year 1983–84 in the accumulated reserves of the purchase fund of the Ulster museum.

An estimated £103,000, subject to audit.
