§ Mr. Lesterasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether he has any plans to provide further military training in Uganda now that the Commonwealth military training team has finished its mandate.
§ Mr. RifkindYes. While certain aspects are still under discussion, we have agreed in principle in response to a request from the Uganda Government to provide a small team later this year to build on the training already provided by the Commonwealth team. In order to assure continuity of training, some British personnel from the latter will remain in Uganda for the time being.
