asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will state the total annual cost of paying retirement pensions to United Kingdom pensioners living in the USA, France and Bermuda.

The cost of retirement pensions and widows' benefits in the year ended 31 December 1983 was £28,397,082.63 for those pensioners living in the United States, £3,083,657.64 for those in France and £232,961.56 for those in Bermuda.
