§ Mr. Alan ClarkThe Manpower Services Commission expect to be able to take just over 8,000 further people on to the enterprise allowance scheme in the three-month period in question—at a rate of about 630 a week. However, since the scheme is proving extremely popular, waiting lists have built up, and in all parts of the country a person making initial inquiries now would have to wait for a number of weeks before being able to start on the scheme.
