HC Deb 02 April 1984 vol 57 cc430-1W
Mr. Sackville

asked the Secretary of State for Defence what discussions the Minister of State for Defence Procurement had with United States defence equipment manufacturers during his recent visit to the United States.

Mr. Pattie

The main purpose of my recent visit to the United States was to discuss a range of defence equipment issues with my opposite numbers in the Administration and with members of Congress. I also had some informal exchanges with representatives of American defence manufacturers.
