asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what has been the percentage change of gross domestic product per head as a percentage of the Great Britain average for each of the standard Great Britain economic regions from 1979 to the latest available date.

Table 9.2 of "Regional Trends 1984" gives figures of gross domestic product per head for the United Kingdom and the countries and regions. Estimates of changes between 1979 and 1981 from this table are as follows:
