§ Mr. NewtonI have today laid the Social Security (Adjudication) Regulations together with the Social Security (Consequential Amendments) Regulations and the Vaccine Damage Payments Amendment Regulations. All these are consequent upon the Health and Social Services and Social Security Adjudications Act 1983. The regulations will come into operation on 23 April 1984, and form the legal infrastructure of the new arrangements for social security appeal tribunals, medical appeal tribunals and vaccine damage tribunals which start on that date.
