§ Mr. McCrindleasked the Secretary of Stale for the Environment if it is his intention to encourage the granting of planning permission for developments before local authorities have drawn up a list of sites to meet future house building needs.
§ Mr. MacfarlaneI look to local planning authorities to pay particular attention to the need to ensure an adequate supply of land for housing. In deciding planning applications authorities are required to have regard to the provisions of the development plan and to any other material consideration. This applies whether or not a local plan has been adopted.
