§ Mr. John MacKayFull information about breast feeding of babies is not available centrally. A survey carried out in 1980 by the Office of Population Censuses and Surveys and published in May 1982 showed that in Scotland approximately 50 per cent. of mothers breast fed their babies immediately after birth.
