§ Mr. Hirstasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement on the Government's financial contribution to the establishment of the Anglo-Irish Encounter Organisation.
§ Mr. WhitneyThis is expected to be about £17,000 in 1983–84. Parliamentary approval for this new service will be sought in a winter Supplementary Supply Estimate for the Overseas Representation: Diplomatic, Consular and other Foreign and Commonwealth Services Vote (Class II, 1). Pending that approval, necessary expenditure is being met by repayable advances from the Contingencies Fund.
