§ Dr. BoysonThe latest available figure is 1.2 million. It represents the number of children for whom a dependency increase of unemployment benefit was being paid, or who were included in the calculation of the requirements of an unemployed person getting supplementary allowance at the dates in May 1983 when a count was made.
