§ Mr. Lofthouseasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science how many proposals for sixth form and tertiary colleges he has approved; and how many he has turned down since May 1979.
§ Mr. DunnUp until the end of September, 39 proposals involving the establishment of sixth form or tertiary colleges have been decided by my right hon. Friend. Of these, 26 proposals, involving the establishment of 21 sixth form and 15 tertiary colleges, were approved, and 13 proposals, involving the establishment of eight sixth form and seven tertiary colleges, were rejected.
