§ Mr. Nicholas EdwardsThe NHS management inquiry was invited to examine the Health Service in England but the principles underlying its recommendations, and in particular the proposals for clarifying and reinforcing the function of general management, are equally applicable to the Health Service in Wales. I am therefore studying the inquiry team's report in detail and will consult more widely when I have drawn up proposals appropriate to our organisation of health services in Wales.
