§ Mr. Parryasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will make a statement on the recent report of the working party at the Royal Liverpool teaching hospital, details of which have been sent to him by the hon. Member for Liverpool, Riverside.
§ Mr. Kenneth ClarkeThe working party referred to was considering the introduction of an agreed admissions policy to the Royal Liverpool hospital. Most of the problems mentioned in the report were attributable to the lack of such a policy. A trial scheme has now been implemented and I understand that it is working satisfactorily.
§ Mr. Parryasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he has any plans to pay an official visit to the Royal Liverpool teaching hospital.
§ Mr. Kenneth ClarkeMy right hon. Friend has no plans at present to visit the Royal Liverpool teaching hospital.
