§ Mrs. Renée Shortasked the Secretary of State for Social Services why he decided not to appoint Mr. Larry Gostin, the former legal director of MIND, to serve on the Mental Health Commission.
§ Mr. Kenneth ClarkeWe received about 700 nominations for membership of this new commission and many distinguished people with much to offer had to be left out. It would, however, be inappropriate to comment on the reasons for choosing or not choosing particular individuals. The members of the commission have a wide range of experience of mental health and include several members of MIND.
