§ Mr. Allan StewartIn 1982–83 net expenditure per pupil in secondary schools in Scotland at outturn prices was £1,267—excluding Orkney and Western Isles, for which information is not yet available. The out-turn figure for 1978–79 was £695. This represents an increase of 2.9 per cent. over the equivalent expenditure in 1978–79, at 1981–82 price levels.
