§ Mr. ButcherMy Department receives regular progress reports on the construction of the Atlantic Conveyor replacement vessel at Swan Hunter. At the present stage, problems are foreseen on both time scale and cost, some of which may be held to arise from events outside the contractor's control. British Shipbuilders is making strenuous efforts to retrieve the position, but its success will depend on the active co-operation of the whole work force.
