HC Deb 24 November 1983 vol 49 cc273-4W
Mr. Foulkes

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland how many children are at the latest available date being treated for (a) leukaemia and (b) other cancers at Yorkhill hospital, Glasgow; how many of these are from the Ayrshire and Arran health board area; and how this compares with the same date in each of the past 10 years.

Mr. John MacKay

I am, however, obtaining statistics for the dates requested about the number of children registered as suffering from(a) leukaemia and (b) other cancers in the west of Scotland as a whole and in the Ayrshire and Arran health board area. I shall write to the hon. Member as soon as this information is available.
