§ Mr. Corbettasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will call for a report from the chief constable of the west midlands and publish in the Official Report a table showing for each police district in the west midlands police area the number of stops and searches made by (a) uniformed officers, (b) plain clothes officers and (c) mixed squads during the hours of daylight and darkness in the last 12-month period for which figures are available and the corresponding periods one, two and three years previously; and how many such stops and searches led to charges, prosecutions, convictions and acquittals.
