§ Sir George YoungThe tenants exchange scheme is operated by a private computer bureau under contract to the Government and its costs are shared by my Department, the Welsh Office and the Northern Ireland Office. In 1982–83, the scheme's first year, total expenditure on the development and operation of the scheme was about £179,500, of which my Department paid about £174,000. My Department's Vote provision for 1983–84 is £300,000, although actual expenditure is expected to be significantly less.
